The HomesteadWatch Community Preview is intended to be released under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. There will be no HomesteadWatch subscription. The release will include the exact licence terms.
What “source-available” means here
HomesteadWatch source code will be available so users can inspect how the software works and exercise the rights granted by the licence. PolyForm Noncommercial limits use to permitted non-commercial purposes.
Commercial use
The Community Preview licence will not grant commercial use. Anyone seeking commercial rights should contact the project separately at homesteadwatch@proton.me.
Third-party software
Third-party software retains its own licence terms. The HomesteadWatch release will include the notices required for components it distributes.
Current pre-release status
HomesteadWatch has not yet been publicly released under PolyForm. This page summarises the intended Community Preview licence; it does not replace the licence shipped with the release.
